BORN WILD formerly THRIFTSTORE COWBOY to premier at the 2012 Hollywood Film Festival
BORN WILD makes its World Premiere at the 16th annual Hollywood Film Festival.
The festival has been home to glamorous red carpets and immaculately coiffed stars since its inception, so why not bring in some grungy, southern drama to dirty things up a bit? BORN WILD, starring Barry Corbin and Team Two stalwarts William Shockley and Kix Brooks, tells the multi-generational saga of CJ Jennings (Shockley), a rough rider fresh out of jail, hitting the road to find peace with a lost lover (Tanya Clarke) and a father he never knew (Corbin). CJ doesn’t have much experience doing things peacefully, so things quickly dissolve into intense drama, intense romance, with a finish that rumbles like a Harley down the highway.
The Hollywood Film Festival runs October 19th through October 22nd at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood. Tickets go on sale October 10th at http://hollywoodfest.com.
It was on the set for BORN WILD that the first seeds for Team Two Entertainment were planted, as Dustin Rikert and William Shockley met Kix Brooks for the first time, and hatched a plan for starting a grass roots independent production company. The film was a lot of fun to work on, has an awesome soundtrack, and will keep you on the edge of your seat.
